Regional Executive and ArtsFest

The West Midland Liberal Democrat Regional Executive met today, its last meeting before our AGM. As well as the business - the AGM, policy discussions before Federal Conference and local party re-organisation there was a flurry of nomination forms being signed. This year quite a few of the current Executive are retiring and whilst a there were nominations for most of the posts one of the most important still has no nomination - Secretary. Whilst it would be really good to have a fully contested set of elections it is essential that all the positions are filled - there are nomination forms in the download area and any one who wants to chat about being on the Executive can get in touch with me if they want.

After the Executive Councillor Dave Radcliffe and I popped along to ArtsFest and met up with Councillor Ray Hassell and his son. The ArtsFest is a weekend long celebration of the arts across a number of venues in Birmingham. From what we saw it was going very well and will grow in future years.
