Yesterday Conference saw three consultative sessions take place at Liberal Democrat Conference. The sessions were on - Climate Change, Crime, the European Union. I also attended the English Council Executive on behalf of the Regional Chair and a briefing for the Party's key seats at the next General Election which was very useful. The evening was finished off with going to the Liberal Democrat Youth and Students Race Night, sadly my horse didn't win this year.

Today Conference will see another four consultative sessions another on Crime, Trident, inequality and poverty and the Power Commission Report. Consultative sessions form a step on the way to making policy but the discussions do not yet make party policy, all the issues that were discussed will be coming back to a future conference as a policy motion which will then create new party policy.

The Party will also discuss some internal issues such as the reports from the committees and Parliamentary Parties and also the regulations for electing the Leader and President in future.

The main highlight of Sunday will be our trip to Terre a Terre - a fantastic restaurant that I went to when I came down to Brighton for Faye's birthday - there are 16 of us going so should be fun.
