Walsall Liberal Democrats AGM/IGM/Branch meetings....

Last night I attended, and Chaired part of, the Walsall Liberal Democrat. Due to local party re-organisation that the Liberal Democrats and all political parties are undertaking for 2007 onwards we ended up having five meetings last night, although it still took under two hours. It is not as bad as it sounds, but as a result we now have a functioning Walsall Borough Liberal Democrats with two branches ready to take over on 1 January 2007.

We firstly had AGMs for Walsall North and South Liberal Democrats and Aldridge Brownhills Liberal Democrats, followed by an IGM for Walsall Borough Liberal Democrats and then IGMs for two branches. I chaired the Walsall Borough Liberal Democrats IGM as a West Midland Regional Executive representative.

Last night was the first of many AGM's for me this year, I have my own - Wolverhampton next week, there are others I am either speaking at or representing the Region at and there will be two IGM/Selection meetings I have to be present at too.
