More on the Midlands Industrial Council - The Kirkbride Link

4.41.22pm GMT Fri 10th Nov 2006

Julie Kirkbride MP (Bromsgrove) has now admitted to being the Conservative's Parliamentary link to the Midlands Industrial Council. She is listed as an "ex-officio" which may explain why her name was not revealed previously. Interesting she has also confirmed that other MPs have attended Midlands Industrial Council meetings.

The MIC revealed, most of, its members names after various investigations including mine, the Sunday Times and The Politics Show. It has refused to name any new members unless there is a change in the law demanding that they do.

I have written a number of times about the Midland Industrial Council now, I believe the West Midlands part of The Politics Show will be following up on the issue this Sunday. Last time they ran a story they interviewed me for the piece, I am not sure what they will be adding this time but it may be worth a look.
