Casino Royale

After eventually getting back from London last night, I was able to re-instate a planned trip to the cinema to see Casino Royale with Kate, Caroline, Iain, Nigel, Matt and Dean - though I am not sure how many went just to see the 'swimming trunks' shot.

Of course it was Daniel Craig's first Bond film, and also the first Bond film (in book order anyway). I am not a great fan of Bond films - I used to be - Goldfinger being my favourite,. This one was good - Craig pulls it off, my main complaints are about product placement and the problem with it being the first but being too modern, always a problem they were never going to being able to solve - so obviously didn't bother trying! On the plus side it had a bit of a plot - a rarity for a Bond film and some of the filming was great especially the Montenegro bits.
