Tehzeeb/The Culture launch

Last night I attended the launch of the West Midlands newest newspaper - Tehzeeb/The Culture. It is part English language and part Urdu and published weekly. The launch went went and I wish them every success.

The paper is being run by a collective of which Bushra Irfan and her husband are part of, I met Bushra earlier this year when I had the pleasure of training her. It is good to see her new project is off the ground and doing well so far, circulation after a few of weeks publication is already 10,000 mainly in Birmingham but also in Coventry.

I had a chat with Bushra about seeing if they would be looking to increase coverage to include Wolverhampton. they are certainly interested and I seem to have been tasked with identifying outlets (other than WHSmiths as they already have an agreement with them in Birmingham and expect to be able to add the Wolverhampton outlets to that agreement).
