Don't be so cheeky Lembit!

Lembit Opik and Cheeky Girl Gabi

I had resisted commenting on Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik's relationship with Gabi from the Cheeky Girls but no longer. Lembit has just asked a Question at Prime Minister's Question Time and started by asking the Speaker if he could be 'so cheeky'. Really Lembit it is not big and not clever and certainly not funny.

Lembit recently split with his fiancee Sian Lloyd (who I liked the one time I met her in Bedford when I jumped in her car and helped her park) and started going out with Gabi from the Cheeky Girls. I don't have a problem with any of that.

Then we had the Cheeky Girl passport saga where, as far as I am aware, Lembit behaved totally above board and properly. Again I don't have a problem with this.

But bringing up your relationship up in the Commons is actually quite cheeky! At least he didn't ask the Speaker to touch his bum!
