John Reid, the Home Secretary yesterday told the House of Commons that the European Convention on Human Trafficking remains a priority for this government. If it is so much of a priority then the Government should sign it!

You may recall the Liberal Democrats passed a motion at their Federal Conference on Human Trafficking. Since then I have been to Romania and visited two shelters for women that have been victims of trafficking.

The Government really should sign up to the Convention now, there is no excuse for any further delay!
