Arctic Challenge - They did it. China is next!4.38.00pm GMT Sun 18th Feb 2007
So the five fearless MPs, my friend Richard Stephenson and the rest of the Westminster Challenge team made they. They all completed the Arctic Challenge, well done to Nick Clegg MP, Patrick Costello, Adam Doran, Tobias Ellwood MP, Chris Golding, Mick Laurie, John Prust, Richard Stephenson, Emily Thornberry MP, Ed Vaizey MP and Jenny Willott MP. The Westminster Challenge was created in 2006 to engage Members of Parliament in the work of UK charities and to fundraise on their behalf. The organisation acts as a link between the political and charitable worlds, promoting the work of each with the other and the general public. The Westminster Challenge are now planning for next May's Chinese Challenge. They are looking for people from all parties to join in. They will be trekking along the Great Wall of China. In ten days they will discover hidden areas of the Wall, trek up ancient steps and through local villages and see breathtaking views from the most incredible man-made feat of all time and at the same time raising money for good causes. Westminster Challenge are looking for members of all political parties to join us for this journey. If you or anyone you know might be interested in joining them for this amazing journey, then come along on 21st February at 6.30pm to find out everything you need to know. The meeting will take place in the House of Commons, please email krystal.miller@btopenworld.com or call 0772 555 1172 if you would like to attend on the 21st or would like further details.
