Shropshire one of the best and Stoke the worst - 2006 CPA results

The 2006 CPA results are out and there are fairly mixed results in the West Midlands with Shropshire having one of the best results and Stoke having the worst, Sandwell is joint second worst with Rutland.

Shropshire County Council is one of the ten Four-star Councils that are improving strongly. Stoke-on-Trent Unitary Authority is just 1-star and not improving adequately, Sandwell MBC is also 1-star but is improving adequately.

Wolverhampton is 3-star but has slipped from improving well to improving adequately and Walsall is also 3-star but the direction of travel is under review (rather ominously).
