Birmingham Selly Oak advertises12.35.00pm GMT Sat 24th Feb 2007 Birmingham Selly Oak Liberal Democrats have advertised for a Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the next General Election. Boundary changes have changed Birmingham Selly Oak quite drastically since the last General Election, with half of the old constituency going and a new half joining. Whilst one paper it is not the best constituency in Birmingham it does have one of the best teams and with the current MP (Lynne Jones) having announced she will not be re-standing it could be certainly be an interesting result. Birmingham Selly Oak is participating in the West Midlands Moving Forward programme and the Liberal Democrats already have a quarter of the Councillors in the new seat. Potential applicants should contact the Returning Officer, Dr. Napier Penlington, 2 Leighton Close, Coventry, CV4 7AE or by phone on 02476 419707 for an application pack. Application must be received by the Returning Officer by 5pm on 28 March.
