Although I disagree with the Nick Harvey's proposed motion to Conference I am happy to advertise his web discussion about it tomorrow evening. I am glad to see Nick and the Party engaging in new technologies to try and widen the debate amongst the membership. I am not sure if I will be able to drop in on Nick's web-discussion but if anyone has any questions about why I am against the motion please do not hesitate to email me at colin@colin-ross.org.uk

Nick Harvey MP says "As the party's Shadow Defence Secretary, I will be speaking in one of the main debates at Harrogate: the Federal Policy Committee motion on The Future of Britain's Nuclear Deterrent. This debate is important because Tony Blair is trying to force through a

decision to replace the UK's fleet of Vanguard submarines which carry the Trident missiles."

Nick has set up a web forum which outlines the motion we will be debating and allows you to post up questions and comments about the issues. On Monday 26th February, I will be answering the questions live on the site from 7pm-9pm. Please feel free to visit the site at: http://z6.invisionfree.com/LDNuclearDeterrent/index.php you can post up comments and questions both before and during Monday.

You can find a full text of the FPC motion at http://consult.libdems.org.uk/trident/
