Council Tax cut!

12.37.00pm GMT Thu 8th Mar 2007

Rugeley Town Council has cut it's Parish precept for 2007/08 by 10%. The Liberal Democrat controlled Council (all 19 Councillors are Liberal Democrat!) have been able to cut the precept despite providing a brand new purpose built, disabled friendly Town Council Office. Additionally there will also be no decrease in the amenities for the people of Rugeley!

Due to this superb management by the Liberal Democrat and what they have achieved for the town, an ex Conservative County Councillor has joined the Liberal Democrats.
