Blair to announce his standing down on May 9th

Well thats my best guess anyway.

The Scottish, Welsh and Local Elections will be out of the way (his successor can avoid some of the blame), he gets to stay in office for the EU Summit but most importantly the day before the Northern Irish Assembly will have met allowing Blair to go out a high.
