The new twenty pound note

9.37.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 2nd Apr 2007

I have started to see more and more of the new twenty pound notes, the first thing that strikes me is they look quite like Euro notes.

The UK is likely at some point to join the Euro and the Bank of England obviously thinks by making our currency look more like Euros it will help the transition. I remember others saying something similar when the £2 coin was introduced.
