Yesterday after the Regional Executive, but before door knocking, I took my Euro Candidacy conversion. Whilst I have been approved to stand for the Liberal Democrats at Westminster level, to be able to stand for Parliament, an extra approval session must be undertaken before people can stand for Parliament.

The session consisted of a paper assessment, with various questions, followed by a verbal policy interview to ascertain if I had the policy knowledge needed with a bit of aggressive questioning thrown in to see how I would cope under pressure.

I haven't had the official results yet but am fairly confident that I passed, fingers crossed.
