Catching up on the Belgium elections that took place earlier in June I saw that the two Liberal parties won 51 seats ensuring the Liberals remain the biggest grouping in Belgium - a position they have held since 1999. The French-speaking liberal party Mouvement Réformateur (MR) won 23 seats and its Flemish counterpart Open VLD won 18 seats.

Over in Ireland the Progressive Democrats are members of the Government along with Fianna Fáil and the Greens.
