Gordon Brown's first Prime Ministers Question Time

10.07.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 7th Jul 2007

I haven't had a chance since Wednesday to report back on Gordon Brown's first Prime Ministers Question Time. The first question was from Daniel Kawczynski, Shrewsbury's MP asking about Shropshire going Unitary - the Tories are opposing this.

Sir Ming Campbell was on good form making a joke at Gordon's expense and asking a great three-in-one question on the subject of change. He asked if there was going to be any real change. Would Mr Brown get British troops out of Iraq, look into BAE corruption, and end the one-sided extradition treaty with the United States?

Gordon answered "My door is always open to you," Ming retorted "The prime minister's door seems more like a trap door to me,"
