West Midlands Liberal Democrats Regional Team launched

The Liberal Democrats in the West Midlands have launched their Westminster Regional Team. John Hemming MP has been nationally appointed Shadow Minister for the West Midlands and has appointed a team to work with him in the run-up to the next General Election.

Martin Turner - DCMS (Department for Culture, Media and Sport)
Sarah Carr - DEFRA (Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs)
Richard Burt - Health
Ayoub Khan - DFID (Department For International Development), Africa, Asia and the UN
Jerry Evans - Environment
Dave Radcliffe - Transport
Tariq Khan - Home Office
Cllr John Redfern - CLG (Communities and Local Government)
Alan Beddow - Housing
Karen Hamilton - Children, Schools and Families
John Hemming MP said "This is our team for the regional agenda. We need to be challenging the government. In particular we will be looking at the issue of the floods and how government should be acting on climate change and the consequences for people in the region."
Lorely Burt MP said "The West Midlands is an interdependent and extremely diverse region. We have put together a team with a wide range of experience that can set out positive Liberal Democrat solutions to regional and local challenges."
