Parent visit and more DIY

6.04.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Sat 4th Aug 2007

My parents are up visiting for the weekend, it is always good to see them and this time is no exception. I have been racking my brain to work out what to do with them whilst they are here, I want them to enjoy themselves.

Last night after they got caught in the traffic I cooked for them and we just spent the evening catching up and talking.

Today we went out for the day, partly for a drive and partly as they normally see Wolverhampton and not the surrounding are - we ended up going to Shrewsbury via The Station at Codsall for lunch.

We will be going out to the local Chinese tonight and then tomorrow, because they want to help, my mum is going to do some light gardening (the garden is a lot better than the last time she came) and me and my dad are going to strip the back bedroom which is empty now Gemma has bought her own house, as a reward I will cook a roast for them!

The house is coming on quite well, I have done a fair bit in the garden and the bathroom is finished. I certainly didn't realise when I bought the house quite how much I needed to do though.
