MEP found guilty of fraud charges

Ashley Mote MEP (South East England) has been found guilty of 17 counts fraud after being accused of dishonestly obtaining more than £70,000 in housing benefit, council tax relief and income support.

Mote won originally elected as UKIP MEP but was thrown out of the party after the charges came to light.
