Today I went over to Bridgnorth to help Ludlow Liberal Democrats in their campaign to save rural Post Offices. The campaign which is being run across both South Shropshire District Council and Bridgnorth District Council has a pre-printed postcard that can be sent to Gordon Brown to protest about the potential closures.

Colin Ross discussing Post Office closures

Post Offices in rural areas are often the lifeblood of the community, the Government seems determined to close down the remaining ones. It is not just rural areas where Post Offices are under threat, there are many Post Offices in urban areas under threat too. We must work hard across the West Midlands to ensure the Government does not get away with closing these Post Offices without local people having the opportunity to object.
