Nominations close in the Liberal Democrat Leadership Election4.00.00pm GMT Wed 31st Oct 2007
Nominations for the post of Leader of the the Liberal Democrats have now closed. There are just two candidates, they are in alphabetical order: Nick Clegg and Chris Huhne Both have campaign websites they are as follows: Nick Clegg - www.nickclegg.com Chris Huhne - www.chris2win.org Official hustings meetings will take place around the country, where party members can hear from, question and meet the candidates. The first was in Rugby last Saturday. Details of the remaining scheduled hustings meetings are as follows: 3 November 3pm Civic Hall, Calverly Street, Leeds, LS1 1UR 7 November 7.30pm Marriott Hotel, Mill Lane, Cardiff, CF10 1EZ 10 November 11am The General Assembly Hall, Mound Place, Edinburgh 13 November 7.30pm Novotel, Victoria Street, Bristol, BS1 6HY 17 November 2pm Novotel Plymouth, 270 Plymouth Road, Marsh Mills, Plymouth, PL6 8NH 19 November 7pm River of Life Church, 19a Broadwater Road, Worthing, BN14 8AD 20 November - Newsnight hustings on BBC 21 November 7.30pm Churchill College, Cambridge, CB3 0DS 24 November 11am Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester 27 November 7pm Friends Meeting House, Euston Road, London, NW1 2BJ
