Scottish Business Groups Focus on Scotland

Apparently the Conservatives have taken £500,000 from the Scottish Business Groups Focus on Scotland that allows donors to remain anonymous.

According to the Scotsman newspaper the money was raised last September at a gala dinner in Glasgow, organised by the building tycoon Sir Jack Harvie where David Cameron, the party leader, was the guest of honour at the £2,500-a-table event. After the dinner, an organisation called Scottish Business Groups Focus on Scotland paid £500,000 to Conservative Central Office in London.

Scottish Business Focus on Scotland's is an unincorporated association (like the Midlands Industrial Council) and therefore the details of the individuals who contributed do not have to be made public.

It seems odd that this is legal yet the recent donations Labour received are not as they were individuals not an unincorporated association
