Dundee Liberal Democrats put the environment and recycling to the top of the agenda

Wolverhampton Council has come 301 out of 393 in the latest DEFRA recycling rates survey. The Council recycles just 23.79% of household waste (and the majority of that was compost rather than 'dry' recyclables. This comes as no surprise to me, Wolverhampton Council have fails to collect my recycling box more than 10% of the time and never seems bothered about it. The Council also, despite a Liberal Democrat campaign, will not collect plastics or cardboard.

I rarely fill my 'waste' bin and tend to have more recyclable waste some of which Wolverhampton Council sometimes collect the remainder I take further afield to get recycled.

Wolverhampton Council say of their 108,000 boxes they have supplied only a third are being used. Wolverhampton Council have failed to make recycling easy for me and I am keen to recycle - I can understand why many of my neighbours don't recycle using the Council's boxes!
