Have you signed up yet to become an Organ Donor?

Over the weekend Prime Minister Gordon Brown has added to the debate on opt-out Organ Donations. He is reported to believes thousands of lives would be saved if everyone was automatically placed on the donor register. I have long been advocating such a change to the Organ Donations rule.

The Organ Donation Taskforce (set up in 2006) is due to publish its report on Tuesday and will make 14 recommendations. It is not expected to report on the issue of "presumed consent" until the summer.
