Last night, I and others met with the Liberal Democrat Director of Campaigns Hilary Stephenson, Deputy Director Stuart Bray and West Midlands Campaigns Officer Austin Rathe to discuss our campaigning in the West Midlands leading up to May's local elections, to next year's County Council elections and beyond to the General and European Elections.

Obviously I am not going to go into details but we reviewed the campaigns in a number of seats and looked at the classification of those seats. We are certainly much better set up now to go forward and win more votes and more seats in the coming years.

We have a regional executive on Saturday. Hopefully at that meeting they will agree to additional funds being released into campaigning which would really have an impact in turning our plans into winning campaigns.
