The Council of Europe has said British elections are "childishly simple" to rig.

The main reason is the extending the right to a postal vote to everyone without providing safeguard safeguards. Electoral registration is currently done on household system which no-one checks. The Council of Europe is suggesting we adopt the system used in Northern Ireland, where there is separate voter registration where they have to provide his or her national insurance number.
