The Electoral Commission is said to now be looking in to donations to Alan Johnson's Deputy Leadership campaign.

According to the Sunday Mirror Waseem Siddiqui was used as a proxy to channel more than £3,000 to Johnson's campaign on behalf of his brother. Siddiqui, who is on a student visa from Pakistan, told the newspaper that his brother asked him to write a cheque.
