Ralph Nader to run for President again

8.04.00pm GMT Sun 24th Feb 2008

Ralph Nader had announced that he is to make his fifth run for the White House. In 2000 he ran as the Green Candidate gaining 2.7%, but in such a close election many Democrats blame him for George Bush being election.

He says will offer a platform to the left of the two Democratic runners, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Nader blamed the Republicans for a series of issues, from the Iraq war to unnecessary tax cuts, and the Democrats for failing to stop them. "In that context, I have decided to run for president," he said on NBC's Meet the Press.
