Cyprus goes Communist

After Castro many Communists may have begun to wonder where remained for their ideals (although Cuba has another Castro and there could be a whole debate about if Castro was a Communist of not but I digress), the answer is Cyprus.

Yesterday saw Demetris Christofias win 53.4% of the Presidential vote for the Akel Party. Christofias is a Russian-educated communist who once described the disintegration of the Soviet Union as "a crime against humanity".
