Severn Trent fined £35.8million

1.11.29pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 8th Apr 2008

OFWAT have fined Severn Trent £35.8million - apparently the biggest fine ever imposed by the water industry regulator.

My only dealings with Severn Trent have been bad, when they tried to refuse to take any responsibility for a water problem at my house even though it was completely their fault. I am not surprised some of the fine is for poor customer service.
