South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) has issued a statement saying it would be "undemocratic and unprecedented" for Zimbabwe to hold a run-off presidential vote without first announcing election results.

The Movement for Democratic Change has been told that its attempt to get the High Court of Zimbabwe to block proposed recount votes will now be delayed until tomorrow morning.
