Disappointment at Indiana Jones

3.03.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Sat 24th May 2008

Kate, Caroline and myself went to see Indiana Jones, all three of us were disappointed. This post will contain a (small) spoiler about the plot line so do not read on if you do not want to know what happens.

Basically I think the main problem, as with the 'new' Star Wars is trying to bring back an old classic always heightens expectations - we wanted to see Indy pick up where he left off to a great extent - he failed to do this - as did Star Wars.

The plot was so unbelievable, at least you could pretend the other three were believable but aliens! Really. I ask you it was just silly and there was little the cast could do with the film when given such a poor plot.

Saying that the first half was very good, the film was going someone up to the library scene and then it just got a bit silly and depended too much on the chase elements and not enough on Indy really.
