Hiatt, the company that manufactured the shackles used in Guantanamo Bay is to leave Birmingham. Hiatt is no stranger to controversy having previously manufactured 'Nigger Collars' during the slave trade.

There have been many protests over the last few year at Hiatt's base, hopefully the message got through and it is one of the reasons they are leaving.

Former Guantanamo detainee Moazzam Begg said "The fact they are closing is great news, and it's appropriate that they're going to America, where they'll be closer to where they are used."
