Tories gain on Redditch Borough and Worcestershire County

Thursday saw two by-elections in the West Midlands on Redditch Borough Council and Worcestershire County Council.The Conservatives gained both from Labour.

In Batchley Ward in Redditch the full result was:

Conservative 630 votes

Labour 539 votes

BNP 299 votes

Russell Taylor - Liberal Democrat 121 votes

Independent 25 votes

In Arrow Valley East Division of Worcestershire County Council the full result was:

Conservative 1,437 votes

Labour 1,041 votes

Diane Thomas - Liberal Democrat 455 votes

BNP 367 votes

Independent 103 votes
