Ian Oakley, the Conservative Candidate for Watford in the General Election has resigned after he was arrested over claims of harassment. The harassment was aimed at local Liberal Democrats and in particular Sal Brinton our candidate for the General Election.

Watford looks set to fall to the Liberal Democrats next time as Labour have a majority of just 1,148. The Conservatives are in third.
