Back from Blackpool

Rollercoaster at Blackpool

We are now back from Blackpool, the 'weekend' was great only one blackspot

We arrived Thursday evening dumped our bags at the hotel and went for a Chinese at the Ocean Palace (which I would certainly recommend) before going to a few bars.

Friday morning we went down to the Pleasure Beach, I was trying not to be a wimp but still refused to go on the Big One unlike the others, I also opted out of the Grand National. I was impressed by myself for going on two of the other 'scary' rides though and of course we have to go on the Dogems.

We then met a friend and had a couple of drinks before returning to the hotel, freshening up and having dinner. Then the blackspot as we were walking into town some guy tried to commit suicide in front of the bus being some of the first on the scene we, of course, called 999 and tried to do what we could until the Ambulance arrived - unsurprisingly it put a bit of a downer on the evening.
