Whilst Georgia and Russia are fighting in South Ossetia their Olympics athletes have called for an end to the violence.

I suspect neither Georgia and Russia are the 'good guys' in this conflict, is this another case of the UN failing in it's peace-keeping duty. Russian troops were in theory 'peacekeeping' in South Ossetia - with Russia hardly being an independent country.
