Liberal Democrats discuss the Economy

This afternoon the Liberal Democrats had a panel debate on the Economy featuring Dr Vincent Cable MP (Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer), Professor Paul Ekins (Professor of Energy and Environment Policy, King's College London) and Liam Halligan (Economics Columnist, Sunday Telegraph)

As we saw this morning on the debate on the housing and mortgage crisis, the economy has entered a very uncertain phase. Dr Vince Cable the Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor has been the one politician talking sense over the last year, if Brown and Darling had listened to him they might not have found themselves in the mess they now do.
