Liberal Democrats win one, Independents win one - Tories lost two in Marches by-elections

Following the Conservatives slim hold in Pimhill by just 10 votes they have gone on to lose two seats in yesterday's by-elections in the Marches. So much for the Tories being the next Government!

Well done to Romer and team in Oswestry and Matthew and team in Leominster. The full results are:

Castle Ward by-election, Oswestry (Shropshire)

Romer Hoseason - Liberal Democrats - 198 votes

Conservative - 174 votes

Independent - 139 votes

Turnout 23.94%

Leominster South by-election, Herefordshire

Independent - 515 votes

Conservative - 397 votes

Green Party - 200 votes

Matt Lane - Liberal Democrats - 131 votes

Turnout 28.14%
