And another Black Country by-election

Following hard on the heels of the Wednesfield North and Wednesfield South by-election, news reaches me today of a by-election in Birchills Leamore ward of Walsall Council.

Labour Councillor Jonathan Phillips resigned his seat on Thursday. According to the Express and Star he resigned due to allegations of possessing child porn, he was arrested and bailed. It is unclear if any charges have been brought and we must remember at this stage the allegations are just that.
