I have finally woke up a bit and have updated www.colin-ross.org.uk with some news from the states, I hope to add photos in the next couple of days but can only do so when I get back to Wolverhampton. As everyone will now know Obama won the Presidency, with Missouri (11 electoral college votes) still too close to call (though leaning to McCain), Obama won 364 electoral college votes and McCain 162. Some facts and figures that determined the election: 62.82% voted, the highest since 1964 (which was also 62.8%)on, but does not quite match the 63.8% that turned out to vote in the 1960 55.5% voted for Obama, 46.2 for McCain and 1.1% for 'others' 9 states flipped - Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia 55 Democrats in the Senate, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents (three still to declare) 254 Democrats in the House of Representatives and 173 Republicans
