Birmingham council plans municipal bank

According to the FT Birmingham city council is planning to create a bank to lend up to £200m to small businesses.

Former Prime Minister and Birmingham Mayor Neville Chamberlain set up a municipal bank in 1916 by Neville Chamberlain.
