Conservative hold in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Labour gain in Warwickshire8.00.48am GMT Fri 6th Mar 2009 Yesterday the Conservatives held there seat in the Ravenscliffe Ward by-election in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Labour gained the Atherstone Central Ward by-election in North Warwickshire (where there was no Liberal Democrat candidate). The full results: Ravenscliffe Ward, Newcastle-Under-Lyme Conservative 229 votes Labour 213 votes BNP 180 votes Liberal Democrats 149 votes UKIP 131 votes Atherstone Central Ward, North Warwickshire Labour 320 votes 37.07% Conservative 221 votes BNP 186 votes Independent 136 votes
