West Midland Liberal Democrat Conference

5.00.00pm GMT Sat 21st Mar 2009

The West Midlands Liberal Democrats Conference took place in Wolverhampton. We had about 150 attendees and a jam-packed agenda.

We had speeches from Liberal Democrat Home Affairs spokesperson Chris Huhne and Transport spokesperson Norman Baker as well as local MEP Liz Lynne and regional MPs Lorely Burt and John Hemming.

Conference also discussed in detail regional transport policy.

My highlight was the opening presentation by Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats where clearly the star of the show was Walker Darke our youngest member who opened Conference by welcoming everyone to his school.
