Lib Dems come third

7.47.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 3rd Jul 2009

Last night a group of Liberal Democrats went to the Wolverhampton North East Conservatives quiz evening, sadly we didn't win. We came third - yes that could lead to many jokes - with 86 from 100 (not too bad actually), at least we won one of the raffle prizes.

Some people may find it odd that I went to the Conservative quiz, a few years ago I went to a Labour quiz and we had some people from other parties turn up to the Liberal Democrat bowling evening a couple of weeks ago. Local politics can get quite silly, but there tends to be good people in all parties and is it so bad if we can get on together? In fact it might even be a good thing.
